    Its a bad connection somewhere in that cable.. When it passes the power on test it does not alert but when it fails it does.

    Yes I think that is it. Just let me know tomorrow if you need my info or anything to send the cable. I decided not to mess with it and just wait. I would have had to buy the crimping kit etc and just didnt think it was worth it.
