Few Questions from a Soon to be ALP Owner

Well I finally decided to switch out my Lis for ALP.

I am getting prepared to receive the ALP and have a few questions.

    1. Can parking aid be completly deactivated without deactivating jammimg?

    2. How long is the power cord coming from CPU?

    3. When I update firmware, control module, and change settings can I put all three files on the usb flash drive and then the ALP automatically load all settings at once or will I have to go through the setup process one file at a time?

From what I am seeing it will do them all at once but you have to continue power cycling the unit for each file to upload. Is that correct? Does it matter which order in list I have the files on the flash drive.

    Thank you guys in advance!

    I do NOT Think so

About 3 feet long but im sure you can add wire to it

    3. When I update firmware, control module, and change settings can I put all three files on the usb flash drive and then the ALP automatically load all settings at once or will I have to go through the setup process one file at a time?
From my understanding you can add ONLY the 3 needed files, From most of the threads i have read the guys are using 2 USB drives with different settings, but you will need to shut the system down and reboot it

From what I am seeing it will do them all at once but you have to continue power cycling the unit for each file to upload. Is that correct? Does it matter which order in list I have the files on the flash drive.

I am sure tom or mirage will chime in here to confirm

    1. yes
    2. very long--dont worry
    3. put all 3 files on USB--first time on will load 1 file, takes about 60 seconds. After that reboot power and it will load the other 2 files in like 5 seconds and you are done.
    4. I always do a download of system stats to USB to make sure everything is what I said it to be

    Dark side?

I just wanted most cost effective way to upgrade. Even if LI releases update it will have to be new hardware to keep up and I decided it was better to sell now while value of LI is still good and just get ALP.

I may end up being wrong but even so I will have a good jammer and wont have to worry about upgrading for a while.

The settings file has to be named a specific name (setup.alp I think) so you can only have one settings file on a USB drive. To have 3, you'd need 3 drives, and you'd plug in the one you want to load and it'll load in a couple seconds. I don't think you need to power-cycle to load settings.
If I passed you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

So in other words it would be best to load each file one at a time? I could just load one then clean off the drive and put the other one and load it etc. Etc.

No! Load all files on one like I stated above. If you want another or differant setup file then you have to use another stick cause you cant have 2 setups on one stick. You dont need to rename anything, its already correct when downloading

No, put all 3 on one drive, there is a very easy tutorial, I think you can access it once you register the alp, which is the first thing to do.

There isn't really any need to study up on the programming beforehand, it is very simple.
