I have just tried the new version. Connectivity is improved, however if the app is not in focus in the foreground then no warning noise is output. I still cannot send the sound to my factory fitted head unit Bluetooth either. I hope this gets fixed soon

New update will be available in 2-3 weeks, the mentioned background no-notification-sound issue has been addressed and will now play a complete alert - every alert - even in background.
Have you tried Audio output button (Force speaker) to resolve your car stereo issue?
