Welcome it's definitely worth it and it's the cheaper option to have a top of the line detector, only 250 to upgrade I believe. The V1 has an amazing app called YaV1 that really makes it shine. Also Florida runs a lot of laser but it's weird you don't see a lot of it. Are you considering getting any jammers? Welcome to the forum from Alaska

Yeah I would love to get a Jammer but thats out of the picture right now. I have looked into the Viel guy stuff but don't know if I want to put that stuff on my brand new car. I figured that my Radar can give me 50% protection plus additional 40% protection from Waze. But I know not all waze users will not report police so 10% could be a laser ambush.

I don't know if your aware of it but Veil Guy has a far more stable version, G5, coming out at the first of the year. So wait for that to come out first before purchasing anything. Waze is good just be careful the FHP run some nasty laser.
