LOL You guys are awesome! thanks for answering all these questions. I just got behind and should have bought this when it first was released and now I am playing catch up since I have not really been following it that closely.

I can already tell that I am not going to regret buying this unit .


So YellowCab do you feel 100 % certain that using the ALP CPU for the PLUS antenna is giving you a bit more range?

I've never owned the 'full' STi-R+, just bought the antenna and r/g module, and the GPS antenna is on its way shortly.

The r/g module plugs directly into the ALP CPU, and the STi-R+ antenna plugs directly into the r/g module, so all power is sourced from the ALP CPU

I haven't tested it against Ka band guns but both X and K band alerts have been sooner.

Ive tested it with KA radar gun in a development and was happy with the results.Kasher1979 why not hold off with the ?s and once you get your unit do a nice review on it and let us know how you make out? Let us know your experience with the unit.
