I'm looking to install the ALP system with STIR+ integration and HIFI controller and wanted to know other's thoughts on wither or not to install the External LED light.
I figure since the HIFI controller provides voice alerts and also have a light, the External LED would be redundant. Are there any reasons that I may be over looking to intall the External LED ??

You can customize it to only illuminate when there are alerts and I find it very useful having it in my direct view so you know where the source is immediately.Quote:

Over the course of a week or so, I taped my lamp to different locations though out the interior before permanently mounting it. I was then able to compare day/night illumination along with on/off programing features.

Lowest Setting on the External LED is OFF and it will illuminate at full brightness during an alert.Quote:
