Does the ALP phone app tell you what Lidar gun you are being targeted with?

If your using your device to play music bluetoothed thru your car audio will an alert interup the music to alert you?

What if you forget your device or battery goes dead, will the ALP revert back to giving you the alert tones thru the controller automatically?

I am considring removing my LI and buying a 4 or 5 head system, i am sure i will have some more questions before i decide to switch. The main problem i have with my LI right now is the abilty to hear it over a performance exhaust/music and really have no room to install a second external speaker (i have one external speaker for my stir i can hear just fine but no room for another). I really like the ability to run an app that might allow me to hear alerts bettter along with the better performance.

(NO) You can only connect one or the other or get one of the RJ45 Switches that several users are using to switch back and forth. See this thread: http://radarandlaserforum.com/showthread.php/3335-Temp-Fix-for-using-both-the-Bluetooth-Module-amp-Control-Module

Ok, so if i forget my phone (happens from time to time) I would need the switch to swap back. Thanks for the Link!

Correct. The switch is only $4 shipped and will let you switch to the Control Module if you forget your phone.

Next question-

Can you configure the heads anyway you would like? (Like 4 in the front and 1 in rear -or- 3 rear 2 front, etc?)

Yes, But they will have to be in a certain order. If you want to put a 4 in the front let us know when you purchase it and we will let you know which heads to put in which slots. If you want 3 in the front and 2 in the rear you will use the Front Ports for the Rear and Rear Ports in the front but unless you have a very large truck or SUV you will not need 4 heads in the front.

3 front 2 rear with your stang and you will be golden!!! You never want to run 1 head in the back--no system will protect you like that

Yep, i totaly understand that holla. I dont have any rear protection on the car now so i was just trying to get a feel for my options on placement. I like the 4 head front set up i have now on the shelby (I know its probably overkill, but it flows well with the front of the car) and didnt have too cut up the car too bad to install. I could simply replace them alll in the exsisting previously drilled areas without anymore impact to the car. Shelbys dont have many options for rear head placement without serious modification but i thought i could replace my current 4 heads in the front and maybe throw the 5th one at the rear liscense plate (like the old escort shifters).

You would be wasting your money putting 1 head in the rear. My 5 head system protects my full size pickup truck. Your Shelby could be easily protected with 4 heads (two front, two rear).

Thanks for the advice, i am going to start another thread in the "advice on placement" area to get some of your guys opnions on an updated setup if i swap out my LI with ALP.
