I don't own an ALP (yet) so some of these things might already be in there, but here's what I would want:
* Ability to KBJ (Kill Before Jam) using the control set buttons or ALP Connect. In other words, press a button to switch to detect-only or park-only mode and back even when not jamming.
* Positive confirmation that JTK occurred, either manually or automatically, via a beep tone or audio confirmation in the smartphone app (or both, since not everyone will use the app).
* Ability to clear stored gun statistics after downloading them.
* Add chronological logging of lidar gun hits instead of just a total count. With a GPS module attached, timestamps and locations could be included. I know ALP Connect does this but this is for those who don't use/have a smartphone or the BT module.
Additional nice-to-haves/things for future consideration:
* Add an input to either the control set or the CPU that can be connected to a small button that can be placed anywhere in easy reach (such as on the turn signal stalk). Pressing the button would perform a function selectable in the settings page, such as killing the jammer immediately, muting radar alerts, etc. Additionally, this input could be used to allow an external device to control the ALP (such as the jammer autokill device I'm developing). This input could also be provided in an additional plug-in module like the bluetooth or radar modules so that the existing hardware doesn't need to be changed.
* Create a splitter/hub to allow connecting more than one device to the control port (i.e. regular control set and bluetooth module) and have them usable simultaneously.
* Release the interface specifications and serial protocol/command information for the control set port, to allow 3rd parties to create accessories that interface to the ALP (like what Valentine did with ESP).
