    Troubleshoot Silent startup

I just finished installing my second ALP system.

It will not go into silent startup mode. I get about 28-30 beeps and a flashing red light before it goes into LDI mode. I've tried everything- updating the firmware, un-selecting the 3rd front sensor in park mode in the Config.

I have also tried to put it into silent startup mode manually.

Thought it may be a sensor issue, but I tested them and they are all working.

    Any ideas?

You never ran a factory reset to memorize your hardware installed. Run a factory reset and reload your config file.

    Yes!! Thank you!
    All quiet now.
Something else I learned during this install- after hard wiring the CPU to the fuse box, it won't turn on unless you press the power button. I expected it to cycle immediately. Simple things sometimes.

The ALP "remembers" whether it was powered on or off when power is cut, and will retain that setting. Presumably the ALP ships in "off" mode, but once you power it up with the button, it'll "remember" that and will power up with the ignition from then on.

X2, Correct. If you cut power and the ALP was on when the power was cut, When you restore power the ALP will automatically power on.
