Wanted to introduce myself to all. Have been lurking for a few weeks looking for options to integrate with the ALP. I spend a lot of time in VA, so RDD's are an issue. Would be curious to know if anyone has found a way to integrate 2 antennas w/ an ALP system if I only need to use one at a time.

I have an stir plus m3 that was purchased from an RD member recently, but would also like to use either a netradar or a radenso HD+ as the other for the bsm filtering when I'm not in VA, but I'm still comparing those two on a performance vs rdd detectability range basis.

As you can see - I still have a lot of research left to do.

Welcome to the Forum.

You can run the M3 completely independent all by itself. NETRADAR & AL-P can be run integrated outside of VA... this pair both can be "detected" from training & by equipment VASP use today.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I want to make sure I understand correctly... are you saying that an VA State Police/ Highway Patrol CAN detect an M3 these days or when you say pair are you just referring to the ALP with the NetRadar/ Radenso- whichever I choose?

My hope was always for a radar receiver to pair with the ALP that would be completely stealth, but with that quality BSM filtering- not sure if Radenso is going to bring the completely stealth HD+ to market or not. They had mentioned to me yesterday they would be checking demand at SEMA this week on that? My thought was always that an M3 couldn't be detected by anything though.

I could run the M3 separately, but would have to find a CPU as I just have the antenna- PLUS I definitely prefer one user interface- and would lean toward taking a risk with the netradar/ hd+ before I would deal with running the two systems without integrating. I am sure i am in the minority on not running multiple systems concurrently, but I weight that convenience a bit higher when both the netradar / hd+ are so close to RDD stealth and perform so well in all facets.

Don't feel obligated to answer- I am sure most can be found somewhere via search- just haven't found the right search terms just yet, but I would appreciate any help! I did rank them in order of importance.

1) From what I have gathered, the Net Radar has slightly better filtering but slightly worse range when compared to the HD+? Are there any comparisons of the two vs. Spectre RDD's out there? I suspect since they are so close in most respects otherwise, that factor will weigh heavily into my decision. I saw a youtube video of the genovo HD+ vs. a spectre on the genovo page that was impressive. Not sure since the net radar is so new, but ss there any similar test out there yet using it? I have heard 24 feet when aimed directly at the receiver, but I would like to see that in a real world drive-by or something similar.

2) For my purchased M3 receiver, I need the cable that has a telephone jack line on one end (RJ-12 connector?), and the larger connector (reminds me of s-video?) on the other. Does anyone know what that cable is called or where I can purchase one? I found extension cables on escorts site, but it looked like they have the s-video type connectors (one male, one female) on both ends rather than the s-video and RJ-12 end that connects to the 9500/ sti-r plus hub.

3) One theory I have come up with- Could I use 2 RG modules with the ALP (not sure on RG v2 vs. RG v3) and maybe hide them both close to driver area so I can switch to another RG module connected to the M3 when I cross the state line?

4) Does the RGv3 only work w/ the NetRadar? I see that it does have front and rear ports, maybe I could use those ports but run the two different receivers to the front?

5) Maybe there is some sort of RJ-12 connector switch/ splitter I could buy to run both antennas to the splitter/ switch then run a single RJ-12 line to a single RG module?

Tests w/ a Spectre 'Elite' of the NETRADAR has shown it can be sensed @ 24ft, so if a VA Trooper is that close (coming at you on a 2-Lane road) you could be had.
Yes, the "pair" being AL-P + NETRADAR. (ProLaser III Lidar can sense any jammer model !)

Perhaps you should contact member here (BestRadarDetectors), he's the distributor for several product lines (Escort, AntiLaser, Uniden, etc.,etc.) & may be able to help w/ the assorted parts (cables,etc.) you seek. He's a great guy & will treat you fairly.

You'd have to switch between them by unplugging one and plugging the other in and reconfiguring the ALP (or store a profile for each if you have Bluetooth or HiFi). This might be the way to go anyway since there's no way to physically stop the NR or HD+ from transmitting a detectable signal sort of unplugging it or cutting power to the ALP. Unplug the NR and plug in the STiR+ antenna and switch profiles, and you're good to go in Hellginia. How often do you drive into that state?

Thanks for the welcome, I moved to SC a few months ago, but grew up in TN/ VA so I usually end up there when visiting relatives, which happens fairly frequently. Once I do get everything in place I will definitely make a trek up to Rock Hill for some testing. I sincerely appreciate the offer. With your information above, I know my only options now are to find some sort of switch-box that also cuts power or manually change which antenna I plus into the RG module. I will gather everything as succinctly as possible before I go to Tom, as I don't want to use up too much of his time.
