Question ALP errors, what's wrong with my device?

Hi, I installed my dual alp recently and I am having trouble with them. . I tried factory resetting the alp couple of times, no use at all.

First, the alp stays in parking mode only until i walk past both sensors. I must walk past both sensors in order for it to go into defense mode(blue led). When the alp is in parking mode, I cannot enter menu mode or anything besides turning off/on the device.

The second issue i am having is my alp will spazz out non stop when it detects a laser. I went ahead and used my bushnell tour v4 to shoot the head and the alp does "somewhat" jams but i would still get some punch-through(directly shooting maybe 2 inch above the heads and i'm about 15-20yd away). After i stop shooting, my alp control box is still stuck on alert mode and won't stop.

I pulled the stats for the alp: (the connection is 1 and 3 because i pulled my center head out for warranty. I tried connecting the connection into slot 1 and 2 but did not fix any of my errors).

Are you in garage? Defense mode won't initiate if sensors are blocked. You are probably getting parking sensor alerts because you are too close to an object.

Reduce your Parking defense range from 9 down to 3.
You'll be getting Parking Errors from vehicles or garage wall within 25-30ft (or more).

Post a photo of the front of the car. If sensors are recessed and not flush with the front of the vehicle you will have its transmitters being seen buy its receivers. Even if you turn off parking the sensors will still pulse parking signals and you are only turning off the alerts and the system will not startup if the system is receiving interference from its own parking pulses.

***Important - where was your car parked in your OP (#1 Post, above) ??? - Was it in the driveway next to that chain link fence I see in Post #7 ?
Well the Sensors are mounted ok. - Did you change the Parking detector range to 3 & see if that stopped the constant Alert ?
Being parked next to that fence so close on one side could very well be your problem. The sensors could be getting reflections from the fence about 10-15ft away caused by IR beam divergence. The Priority is a very sensitive receiver circuit.

Move your car so there is nothing within 180 degrees of the Front/Sides of the car for 50ft+, & then turn on the AL-P & see what happens.

Happened to me about 14 months ago.

Would spaz out detecting "Poliscan" randomly.

I suggest disconnecting one head and see if the issue stops, if not, switch around which head you've disconnected and see if it stops.
If it stops spazzing, then you know you have a faulty head, if it continues after that, you have a faulty ECU.

In my case, it was a faulty head, had it replaced under warranty and haven't had an issue since.

Was trying to walk him thru a step at a time & not throw to many variables into the mix all at once to confuse him. Your suggestion would have been my next attempt, too.

    Tks,ba.
