Which is better in the long haul?

Hey everybody I'm new to this forum and radar detectors and laser jammer. I need some advice, I have about $1000-$1500 to do an purchase and install. I would like it to be stealth, rather not let Leo see it on my dash. Also the ALP system isn't very stealth if the sensors can't be behind anything. I just got a 2016 challenger/scatpack, and don't want to change the front end if necessary. The str.i can have laser jammer upgraded and added on later.is this unit stealth?Would this be the better way to go.?I pretty much stay in central Jersey but will take occasional trips wherever. Any help would be grateful.thanks

I just got a 2016 challenger/scatpack, and don't want to change the front end if necessary. Surrounding States near NJ use Lidar guns that easily defeat what you are considering buying...just sayin.

I appreciate the input. But if a bel stir pro,for the radar with an AL Priority system for the laser would not be good then what will? Would an escort 9500ci with shifters do better.? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I thought the ALP with three heads up front would take care of anything.

From what I've read just lasers.i think. You still need radar protection. That's where it gets sticky. I'm finding out there's a lot more to it than just sticking a suction cup product on you windshield.

    You're correct, they will & do- I use a Triple AL-P, myself.
2016 Chall. Scatpack & I are talking apples & oranges in a wording misunderstanding.

We're not speaking the same language. In your OP above you mentioned "the STi R can be upgraded w/ laser jammer added on later" & in Post #3 above you used the term "PRO" which to me meant the Escort LaserShifterPRO, the PRO is what I was refering to as not being able to protect you fully from Lidars used in nearby States to NJ.

The AL-P is the bomb & will be the best choice for your needs.

As for RD needs, I think you should do some more reading/research. The Legacy RDs of yesterday cannot fully cope w/ the BSM,ACC radar transmitters being built-in on todays cars/18-Wheeler trucks, etc. It drives RDs crazy with false alerts & is a P.I.T.A. to put up with. There are some NEW RDs coming soon from 2 new Mfg's that have great promise to quiet things down from all the false signals in the radar bands. BestRadarDetectors (BRD) will offer one soon, & Radenso will, too.
I should mention Uniden models have been getting many compliments from users for sensitivity & pretty good at reducing the false alerts.

Do some due-diligence before spending the money you have allocated for toys.

Thanks red rocket for clearing things up. Being new to this hobby and reading so much in a short time I kinda mixed things up. Looking forward to new units.

Try to stay OFF the accelerator w/ that HotRod you've got till you do some homework...you certainly don't want to deplete funds by paying for speeding tickets b/c you're runin' naked w/ no protection at present.
