Honestly I am still confused what you are doing and why you have 2 CPU'S with only 4 sensors.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

I believe he may have at some point incorrectly put one of the Rear RJ plugs into the F2 port(by mistake) & did a "Memorize" option & now the CPU Control Box thinks it has gone bad b/c there's no Sensor connected.

As he stated previously, he has 2 independent b/c the cables from the Rear were not long enough to reach the Front Control Box. Why he didn't just relocate the Front Control Box to somewhere in the middle of the cabin (under the Driver seat) so that Front & Rear sensors cables could both reach it isn't something that was considered, I guess.

    Attention: @syrinx -
Would you be willing to start over again from the beginning by putting the Rear ALP system back to its original wiring connections from when your Errors were first starting.
    1. Also, I would ask you to put "labels" (for R1,R2) marking EACH side of cable, put labels on each RJ "plug" connection at the Control Box.
    2. Put labels(R1,R2) on each side of round "twist" connectors.
    3. Put label on each Control Box port (R1,R2) to prevent using F1,F2,F3 by mistake.

I personally think he needs to connect one CPU with 2 front sensors, 2 rear sensors. Run a factory reset and start all over with troubleshooting.

If he is willing to do as you suggest I am fine with stepping aside & let the both of you work together to identify whether it is the Sensor or the cable wire that is the problem.

    Good Luck.

I bought 2 CPU because I don't want cables inside the car from the front to rear of the cars. It was working few months like this.

How do you do a factory reset? I tried but it doesn't seem to work.

Please remember that at least one sensor is broken:
With front system used with the rear sensors: when connected to the rear sensors, no error message but only one sensor works as parking sensors. But both detect my laser tester.

syrinx, "IF" you did not want sensor cables inside your car and/or the original/standard cables were not long enough to reach from the ALP CPU (most likely placed under your dash) to your rear ALP sensors, you should have ordered two of the "AL Priority Sensor Extension Cables" @ $29.95 USD each.

(If 1 Sensor or 1 bad cable, the CPU Control Box may not permit a Factory Reset...I have never tried this w/ a problem existing in the system already !)

Instructions are already here on the Forum if you would look for them !

Here is the location for them:

    Factory Default Reset:

Ok, we can use this, but don't use the Laser Tester, the output is to wide & not useful to draw conclusions for which sensor or cable is the bad one.

Use your hand instead- by placing it close (about 10mm) to each one, see if you get U-boat "ping" sound from each Rear sensor.
