    Automatic check failed

    Dear BestRadarDetectors,

When the ALP starts, it says "Automatic check fail R1". I get this stats:

    Device information
    Serial number
    CPU Hardware version 2
    Firmware version 5.2.3
    Region Europe
    Power Cycles 489
    Control Set FW version 5.3
    Control Set HW version 2
    Activated locks not active
    Hardware version 2
    Connected sensors
    Connected sensors (memorized) Rear1, Rear2
    Connected sensors (actual) Rear2
I reversed the 2 rears sensors, and I get this:

    Device information
    Serial number
    CPU Hardware version 2
    Firmware version 5.2.3
    Region Europe
    Power Cycles 490
    Control Set FW version 5.3
    Control Set HW version 2
    Activated locks not active
    Hardware version 2
    Connected sensors
    Connected sensors (memorized) Rear1, Rear2
    Connected sensors (actual) Rear1
Do you confirm that one sensor is broken?

    Thank you very much.

NB: I still have to update the voice pack.

Sounds like to me the sensor has gone bad!

Either a sensor has failed or a cable has been compromised. If you can get to the sensor connectors in the rear and move the working sensor to the other sensors wiring you can determine if the cabling or the sensor is bad.

Hello, I found that the sensor which wrong, I've disconnected it and I let the 1 which is OK on R1 position. When the CPU starts, it says 'Automatic check failed: R2 F2'

When I connect only one sensor, the defective sensor to R1, I get this 'Error 2 defective sensor'

Is the CPU box is wrong as well?

You might have a bad cable and not a bad sensor. What you need to do is reconnect both sensors and see which sensor is online. Then take the other sensor the one showing an error (Disconnect it from the wiring connector at the sensor) and try that head on the working sides cable. If you just move the sensors from one port to the other you are still using the same cable.

When you did this check, where did you make this change ? Did you swap the cables R1 & R2 at the Control Box ?

When you did this check, did you leave the cables the same from your 1st Test above & make the cable swap at the connectors near the Sensors.

You need to take a more methodical approach to EXACTLY what & where you are changing things to help us understand the details to figure out the problem.

I have reversed the 2 plugs (the round twisted plugs without disconnecting the 2 RJ), both are connected to R1 and R2. In one position, I've the error R2 and F2, when reversed, I get R1, R2, F2 errors. I don't understand why for F2, nothing is connected.

Same thing I reverse the RJ plugs. So it's not the cable. Either the CPU, either a sensor.

Now, I use the front CPU, I've connected these 2 sensors on F1 and F2. I get the "Uboat" song (I don't have it with the rear CPU) at the startup, no error message, the right sensor doesn't work as parking sensor, the left works well. But both detect my laser tester. I have the same results when I reverse the 2 rounds plugs of the cables.

I think my right sensor and the rear CPU are wrong. Do you agree?

    Thanks.

You are very confusing...your English translation & poor syntax is very difficult to understand.

What is your native language that you speak ?

    1.There are NO U-boat songs...do you actually mean U-boat sound ???
2.Do you only have 2 AL-P Sensors & both are installed on the Rear of your car ?
