GPS Speed threshold not working

Don't you just love Windows sometimes when you're upgrading to a new driver -"windows has determined that you are already using the best driver" etc.

No, I know best, I'm the Windows admin on this computer here with a masters degree in IT, and its my PC, and if it goes wrong, I'll use system restore

First thing I do on a new install, show all files extensions and hidden system files

As for Win 10, I've had a few problems upgrading two machines for Win 7, and one from Win 8, always fails after a while with some excuse about bad drivers etc, when you're running the latest, on older hardware (i.e Win 7) that MS should know well.

A few hours later of Googling about upgrading an Intel Compute Stick from Win 8.1 to 10, I found on a forum (not Intels) that I needed to upgrade the BIOS and disable write caching on the SSD to get the upgrade to work.

Windows has the annoying habit of hiding certain file extensions by default. If you go to Windows Explorer (or My Computer), select Organize, Folder And Search Options, go to the View tab, and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" you'll see the .alp again.

(Note that this is in Windows 7, it may be a bit different in 10).

fixed thx on w 10 , click start button, then control panel, appearance and personlization , file explorer options, click (view ) and reset to defaults, sorry nope not fixed , says in download config.alp, but when i go to this pc downloads it only shows config

ok put the download onto usb stick, in one computer its correct showing config.alp, then put the usb in the other shows just config only, the.alp not showing, but seems to work

Maybe you only have file extensions hidden. Just move it to the drive without renaming it.

the usb does work as u say , will try see if where its hiding

WOHOO yep ur on the money brd finally fixed, went bak into control panel as before, and there it was hide file extensions, so unticked and bingo, now showing same on both computers,

Working now. Must have been as I suspected that the GPS antenna was mounted too low and not getting signal therefore not adjusting to the 40km/h speed setting when travelling under that speed. Nothing to do with settings
Still get radar antenna not connected warning however even though connected and get warnings!
Strange that one!
