Adding a New Head to ALP Setup

Quick question, after the new head is installed (3rd in front) do I simply just do a factory reset and then re-load the current files on the USB stick. I did this over a year ago and can't remember. I think it was very simple and straightforward. Also switching from regular controller to Hifi. Buying both tomorrow.

    Was thinking this:

After new head and Hifi controller installed, start up system without USB key installed.
    Do the factory reset,
After factory reset, with the unit still on, plug in USB key with all current files (new hifi files included)
After updating, turn system off then on again, and that should be it.

I'm running a privacy key file too which is on the USB drive with all the other current files.

    Seem right?

You do need need to add a new voice pack. Just install the new head and when you start the system you will get an error to check sensors because the new configuration is different. Run the factory reset and then just reload you configuration file.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Hifi I've wanted for our second car for a while. Third head is because I don't want to leave anything to chance as we have the Laser Ally here and I'm sure the DETC is probably right around the corner. OPP and local police feel the need to have the deadliest guns in their arsenal.

Also, make sure that your center head is plugged into the F2 port on the CPU.
