AfterALp Firmware Update- system takes long time to go into defense mode.

After the update the system seems to take a long time to go into defense mode and sometimes not. I use a android phone with BT. The system hooks up get the white car then the green car but takes a long time to go to blue car defense mode by itself. Sometimes when it doesn't go into defense mode if I hit the highway - city - city settings it goes into defense mode right away. Is this normal or something is going wrong with the system.
Thanks for any input on this.

Try reloading your setup file. Sounds like settings might have been defaulted so it's probably taking 60 seconds. Reload a setup file and choose skip first warmup.

I have reloaded the setup file and controller update three times from three different USB thumb drives and it will not load my settings. The flashing light is killing me at night.

Pull a Statistics file and email it to us. Either you are on an old firmware that does not support the dim feature or you are using an incompatible USB drive or the file names of the files are not the original names.

It was working fine before this latest update. I had changed the setup to have a dim light, avoid the 60 second warm-up time, etc. I bought a new USB thumb drive. I will try again.

Used a new USB - I realized that the file being transferred was named setup4-alp. Deleted the number, and it worked fine. I have multiple setup files on my computer. Problem solved. Thanks.

Good to see you got it solved.

Yes, I know Firefox will name subsequent downloads of setup.alp as setup(1).alp, setup(2).alp, so you have to rename them to setup.alp

That is the #1 issues customers have is the computers rename the files because they already exist. Glad you are back up and running.

So using two different USBs for the latest update, it seems that my unit is just not taking the update. I downloaded the update file and a configuration file. Plug in the USB, turn the car on, and the unit powers on as normal without any fast flashing lights or beeps indicating an update is in progress. Anyone else having issues?

Have not tried on my second car yet because I wanted to see what experience others were having. Thanks.
