Double-Sided Tape: Which Type/Brand is Best for Long-Term Holding Power?

Do any members have a recommendation as to which type or brand of Double-Sided Tape is the best to use for Long-Term Holding Power in securing ALP sensors to their mounting positions?

3M "VHB" style tape. If you properly prepare your surfaces clean with alcohol wipes (and let dry!) it'll glue a fart to an ice cube.

If I need to use two (2) pieces of the 3M "VHB" tape between the sensor and the mounting surface, for spacing purposes, do I need to do anything special where the two flat pieces of tape join to each other? Or can I just place one piece of tape upon the other? (In other words, one piece of tape will be on a surface of the car, the second piece of tape will be on the sensor. Can I just push the tape on the sensor right onto the tape on the car's surface?)

You can get some fishing line to slice thru the sticky tape then some goof off and a razor to clean everything up.

X2 or dental floss, wither will work. I use the 3M Red that you can get rolls off of EBay for about $10.00; Lowe's also carries it in their paint section too.
