Long story , in the pre-Sti era i ordered from cobra which was labelled invisible to VG-2 , salesman talk.

Few days later we were driving in a pack on highway being the slowest , then i saw an undentified car on the shoulder.
After i passed it , it jumped back on the road to reach the pack , while he passed at my height it was still hard to say he was a cop or not . For safety i had shut-off the cobra , he kept following the pack , searching the signal ...
My error was to tease him by opening breifly the cobra to see his reaction , no reaction , he then pulled off very fast and disappeared ahead.

Few minutes later i put back the cobra on ...after passing an overpass i saw his cherries on ... i shut it off immediately but too late , did'nt have the chance to throw it out because it was on the back seat enclosed in a carton box. The first thing he asked was the rd , which i dont have blabla ...
Ok you give it to me or i tow your car and we will find it , i will call a towing right away.

As i kept my story he ordered my wife and i to step out of the car , took him 1 minute to find the leading wires then the box , as he passed in front of us waiting on the shoulder he shouted holding the box in the air : this is ''obtruction to justice'' . In his cruiser he called his office , checked the culprit with his vg-2 , took a long 5 minutes .
Back to me we discussed a bit his rdd , said they have re-tuned it ...he was so happy.
Me too in a way to get rid of the cobra-shit

My lesson was taken : never underestimate your enemy.

Yes they are , yesterday a state trooper killed 3 people : 2 regular cruisers were flying ( lighs & siren on ) to a house for family violence .

The driver( victim ) saw the 2 cruisers but a 3rd - unidentified black cruiser was following at a distance (no siren)- bang full force the little Kia .
Psl on this 2 way road is 50 kms , by the picture the ghost was easily running 130 kms .

Pic in link : closer car is the ghost , Kia is the victims car , the cop is in hospital but out of danger. An inquiry is being done.

The ATMV Commodores (Concept Cars) with Traffic Enforcement have Spectre RDD's fitted, although radar detectors are still 100% legal in WA. These were spotted nearly 2 years ago by one of our members.

There's plenty of people driving round with crap Cobra detectors that leak badly on Ka band (its the only Ka action my V1 detects now ) that would be picked up by an RDD miles away.
