ALPS Integration with V1 and alerting on ALPConnect

I just order a quad ALPS for installation on my new BMW and integration with my V1. I intend to use an RJ11 splitter to run both the V1Connect as well as the output to the ALPS so I can run both YaV1 and ALPSConnect. I'm also going to run the switch port on ALPS to switch between the HI/FI and Bluetooth. Has anyone done this?

Has anyone experienced how the ALPSConnect app displays V1 detects? What if the V1 detects laser scatter, will it still alert? What's the Voice Alerting like?

I'll email these questions to the AntiLaser folks directly as well but was wondering about experiences.

    Thanks!!

V1 detection will be the same as all other radar integrations. Look at any video with Sti-R Plus integration as the sounds and display are all the same.

You can use a cheap switch sold on ebay to switch back and forth with the control pad and bluetooth. There is a thread here showing the switch to use.

Thanks. It annoying ALPS won't support the directional function of the V1 given the directional support for laser detection.

There are not enough users to warrant a deeper integration. If there is no return on the investment it makes no business sense to spend the time and money.

Thanks. I looked at the STIR Plus and could have easily gone that route (with a full install not just integrating the radar head) but after using my upgraded V1 with YaV1 the past few weeks, watching Vortex's Youtube videos and a those of bunch of other folks in Australia and Europe who are using ALPS and V1s decided to stick with the V1 hoping for full integration in terms of direction. Many people on here seem to have V1s as part of their Countermeasures suites even if they also have an Escort.

Yeah, I doubt any more integration will happen with the V1. It costs tons in R&D to add all this support and at the rate people are adopting V1 integration it would take around 5 years to pay back the costs already invested with the current integration available.

I am having an AL Priority quint system installed along with the AL Priority Radar/GPS module V2, the AL Priority GPS antenna, and the AL Priority HiFi Control Set. I am also having the AL Priority Bluetooth Module installed and will be able to switch between it and the HiFi Control Set via an RJ-45 switch. I am currently planning on integrating my Valentine 1 with the AL Priority system. My V1 is already programmed with Custom Sweeps, and I have the TMF2 turned on to cut down on blind spot radar K-band alerts. I also have access to a V1 connection LE in another vehicle if needed to change any V1-only programming.

I would like to maintain the custom sweeps and TMF2 when the V1 is integrated with the AL Priority System. Which of the "Radar bands" options should I select? From a couple of other threads, it seems like I should select X-band, K-band, Ka-band, Euro Mode, Euro X Mode, and Filter, and leave the K-band and Ka-band options at Wide so that the V1 itself is still doing the custom sweeps I have programmed into it. Does this sound correct? If not, please advise what setting/settings should be changed? Thanks in advance.

Your are correct. Just keep everything on wide and ALP will not filter any results but your sweeps will be doing all the work on the V1 end.
