Greetings From WA (Western Australia) REVNURAZR

    Hey All,

Thought I would jump on here as I am always wanting to learn more about Laser Jammers and Radar detectors.

I drive an Australian Delivered MY02 WRX STI.

The number-plates are a not so subtle statement towards the Government and Police here who are only interested in using speed cameras to Raise Revenue, not the life saving purpose they are intended for...

Hence the plates REVNURAZR - Revenue Raiser

They get a laugh with a few of the cops, highway patrol do not often share my sense of humour unfortunately

    I currently run, in justification for my plates;

    -ALP Quint 3F, 2R
-Custom relay "mute" circuit cuts switched power to my head-unit if the ALP alerts
-Pro DB rear License Plate "light"

This setup is pretty effective but with WAPOL (Western Australian Police) employing sneakier tactics (rear facing cameras, completely hidden and camouflaged cameras) it will only be a matter of time.

I am looking at upgrading to the Laser Interceptor quad sensors front and rear. 35 degree angle on the 2 outside sensors.

From what I have researched this is a proven and fairly reliable setup to defend against the Vitronic Poliscan....

Looking forward to learning more and seeing what you guys think haha

    Cheers!

    Welcome to the Forum, mate.
Your Blinders WILL NOT protect you from the Poliscans. There are plenty of guys from Oz here on the Forum...you need to talk w/ them on how to really protect yourself down-under.

    Welcome from Perth mate

HP-905's are good at detecting Poliscan, and that's about it (work fine on hand helds).

    I've owned HP-905's / LI's / ALP's

ALP's are the way to go - much more sensitive to Poliscan than LI, especially for rear facing setups, better support and continual development and new features

    Welcome mate, from AUS.

    Yea, sell the 905's..... ASAP
As mentioned, they will detect and alert... but that is all they do and who every sold them to you should have known better.

For Poliscan you either need one of the following.
    -Anti-laser Priority
-Stinger VIP with LAB and HD verison LJ's
    -Laser Interceptors

Blinder are aware of this issue and have made MANY failed attempt @ fixing it and looks like they now have given up, so it not even worth asking them. Just cheaper to rip it off your car and ebay it to someone else

    Also any affiliation with Revenue-Raiser-Resistance
There is a few people on that Facebook page that could use some education on Countermeasures

    Thanks,

Made aware recently about the effectiveness (or lack-thereof) of the HP-905. It is currently up for sale and upgrading to the LI quad system asap.

They don't protect against them, just a warning but usually enough distance to "safely check your speed"

Rear facing set-up you are gone regardless (unless you are lucky to get laser scatter from a car being hit in front of you)

    Thanks mate!

Yeah that's the upgrade plan. Just sold the RX75 (ancient technology)

Volatile Car Audio in Perth can supply and fit the LI quad unit for $1700 with a forum member discount.

That's the game plan once I've sold off all the other bits (V1 + Blinder)

The HP-905 is great against hand-helds...that's it unfortunately haha

    Thank you

No affiliation, I do now currently represent the page with a sticker to match the plates :P

Quite a few who have no idea on there though, most better off holding signs than arguing their Whistler Radar detector is better than the V1 and Blinder system
