    Hello from Omaha, Nebraska !!!!!!

I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. I'm just now starting to get back into CM's but have been using them for the last 20 years ( Feel like I'm in Therapy..lol ), mostly cheap Cobras but they worked and saved me many times. My only issue is I can't decide if I want the V1 or Redline because I like the arrows and the long history of the V1 but love the distance on Redline. Anyways.....I'm looking forward to being apart of this forum and getting to know the members.

Welcome to the forum. The distance factor between the V1 and Redline is, in all reality, insignificant in straight, on axis situations. Where the Redline excels is in off axis, over the river and through the woods and around the bend and over the hill scenarios.

Welcome to the forum. The long heated debate of the V1 vs Redline is a never ending battle and everyone will have their own options and those discussions usually get heated. You cant go wrong with either of them.

I've owned both, and currently just own a Redline. Both are excellent detectors, but if I could do it all over again, I'd stick with the V1. The information it gives the user is superior to any other RD out there. Sometimes, it's not about the best range, but getting the most info you can, and I got that with the V1, which I regret selling.

    welcome to the forum.

Get both! I have both, I use the V1 in one car that I also have an STiR-O and I use the redline with EL when I travel and in my work car.

Welcome to the forum. When choosing between the Redline and V1, base your decision on your personal preferences. Going from,a Cobra to either one is like going from a Vega to a Ferrari.
