    We have several members here with guns to test you and we have meets periodically too.
    Testing is the final step. Level, true, and clear view of the 180 degrees around the sensor is ideal. We have had some 9xx Po'chees with less than adequate placement fail our tests. Hardware is important, installation is importantER, and testing is importantEST! In slang of course. 😁😁

    Thank you for the heads up. I guess I willing post for some testing help after I am set up and programmed. Most of the install pics I see have the diode sticking out a bit, so I get what you say about the 180 degree clearance. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

    It's not necessary to be overly anal about having 'em protruding some. A slight recess is ok for "stealth" purposes in mounting especially if you reside in an area or State where they are banned. What you risk in doing so is the "shading" effect that occurs in really close encounters from a street level off-axis shot or same from an overpass shot from above. We're talking of a few hundred feet here & by that time you should have already eyeballed the sniper hundreds of feet ago well beforehand !
