    New Member from Atlanta

    Hi Everyone,
I just registered a few days ago and this is my first post. I am from the Sandy Springs area in Northern Atlanta. I just received my ALP 5 sensor system, with HIFI, RG module, 9500CI antennae, and GPS antenna. I plan on trying a self installation on my 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S. For me, the integrated 9500CI antennae appealed more than separate systems. I have a hard wired Passport 9500xi currently.

I am going to attempt a self install, and hopefully now that I have introduced myself, I can post some pictures in the placement advice section so I can get some help. Pic of car below.
    Regards to all,
    Dave

Thank you of the welcome. I am not an expert installer, but in the past I have done a subwoofer installation on a Corvette I owned, and done catback exhaust installs, replaced some door speakers in a Viper, and hard wired some radar detectors. Been doing a lot of reading on this Forum and am pretty sure I will be posting some threads for help. But I always do searches to see if I can answer my questions first before posting a thread.

If you can install car audio you should be able to easily install the system yourself. Feel free to contact us with any questions and welcome to the forum.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I hope to get started with the install in a day or two. I have another vehicle so I can take my time on this.

Thanks again for the warm reception. I bought the laser tester from BRD, along with the other equipment, so I think I am good to tell if it is working after I do get it installed. I assume the tester is good for that?

I am not the Dave who ran the Cannonball. This 911 has never been on a track. I get going, but not a track guy at all, really. Just a suburban guy that likes to go fast sometimes! It is so easy to get into triple digits in this car. I also have an aftermarket exhaust and a tune, so the car has about 640 horsepower vs the stock 560.
