And what kind of $$$ we talking
Specifications called for 30m but probably less. The price will be listed at $49.95. Its more of a novelty then a real gun but it works to verify your equipment is installed and responding to gun ID's properly. Heck I can take a compact put in a case, close it while aiming at an opposite wall and fire it and the ALP will go off, The testers need to be pointed directly at the heads.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Do you know what type of battery/ies it uses? Probably a lithium coin like a CR2032? Just curious.

I can add more if I know the pulse rate (fixed) or have a capture file (VPR). It has a 0.25 microsecond resolution and enough memory for a few more VPR patterns.
How did you make it? I just like tinkering with things and wouldnt mind making my own to cure boredom haha

    I found this instructable

I used an 8 bit 32 MHz PIC micro and a few parts, built it on a perfboard.

That Instructables link you posted is a good way to make your own as it includes the Arduino code and everything. It just isn't as compact as mine.
