On the "SETUP Your AL Priority Control Box" selection menu/form, in the second item "Parking Detection (PDC) Range Control", you have the ability to select from 1 thru 8, as well as Disable. I have my sensors set to "3" and when I walk approximately 2 to 3 feet from a sensor, the system alerts. I do not know the distance from the sensors if you select 8. I think I remember reading that someone had set their PDC Range to possibly 8, and when he stopped close to a car in front of him in traffic, the sensors would alert. You can prevent this by selecting a lower number to suit your individual requirements. You will just have to experiment with the PDC Range in order to obtain the desired distance for an alert that you may want, maybe in a garage, but not have the system alert when you are in traffic and stopped behind a car.
