New ALP Buyer - Couple Questions

I just bought the ALP with the HiFi control unit to replace my LI installed on my Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. I started with the Blinder M25 and then upgraded to the M27 before I bought the LI a few years ago. I have the new ALP setup on my desk so I could do the firmware upgrade and to test everything before I remove the LI and install the ALP. When I purchased the ALP from Radar Roy he provided a free laser tester ( see link below ) and after I did the firmware upgrade and loaded the setup.alp I wanted to test the unit. The tester provided by Radar Roy only worked for the following, LTI 20x20, LTI 100LR, Stalker and Pro III. It did not alert to Atlanta, Riegl, Laveg or unknown. I still have the LI installed on the motorcycle so I tested the LI with the laser tester and it alerted to all of the buttons on the laser tested identifying the same laser guns as the ALP did ( LTI, Stalker, Pro III ).

    Here are the questions:

    1. Is there any reason the ALP would not alert to the Atlanta, Riegl, Laveg or unknown.

    2. Does the ALP jam unknown guns.

    3. Can I use both the LI and ALP on the same vehicle.
If so haw far apart do the laser heads need to be.

All that i can add is that you do NOT want to run the 2 systems together, For one the LI will interfere with the ALP and 2, Why would you need the LI when you have the ALP, ALP does it all and out performs the Lis....
As far as the tester, I can not answer that question but to my understanding the Tester is only a lite and does not work as if a real LIdar gun would.. There Fore the ALP might not alert to them because of the light being not recognized buy the ALP..

The ALP will only alert to guns that are used in the US. None of the guns listed are US guns. There are no guns in the US that the ALP does not protect against.

It should have alerted to the (Laser) Atlanta. Maybe the tester's pulse rate is a bit off spec for that pulse rate and the ALP ignored it.
