Request Advice Re: ALP Control Box Setup Selections

There are four ALP Control Box Setup Selections that I cannot decide upon, and request that forum members provide their advice/reasons for why you make that specific selection, as the Setup Download instructions do not always provide enough information for me to make specific selections:

Pro Mode: Off ? or Enable ?

    Default is Off.

The Setup description states "By Enabling Pro Mode, when laser interference is detected LED will blink only while you are being targeted". But what specifically happens when OFF is selected? Advice please.

Poliscan: Off ? or On ?

Default is On, and probably should be left On, to provide a Poliscan warning & protection. Advice please.

    Stalker: Optimal ? Max ? Off ?

Default is Max. Optimal is recommended.

Max provides strongest protection, but will cause Jam Errors on Stalker units. (Should I really care? My LID time is 4 seconds)
Optimal will not cause such error codes when shorter LID Defense Time is selected. (My LID time is 4 seconds).
    Advice please.

Poliscan False Rejection (PFR): Off ? Enable ?

Default is Enable. If Enabled, will reduce amount of false Poliscan alerts. (Probably should leave it On).
    Advice please.

Thank you in advance for your advice/reasons.

PRO Mode - As a new user start with it OFF
POLISCAN - ON only if you travel through MD
    STALKER - Keep on MAX
Poliscan False Rejection would not make a difference if you turn Poliscan Off. If you decide to keep Poliscan ON then also put this on.

    Tom/BRD,

    Thank you for your reply.

Poliscan and Poliscan False Rejection: I will keep BOTH "ON" as I do drive through Maryland.

Stalker: I'll keep it on "MAX".

Pro Mode: I'll keep it "OFF" for now, even though I have used a Passport SR1 for many years. And, yes, I know the Passport SR1 is a RD, and ALP is a LID.

FOR TOM OR ANY MEMBER: WHAT WILL I SEE OR HEAR IN THE "OFF" MODE THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE "ENABLE" MODE ? IN THE "ENABLE" MODE, WHEN LASER INTERFERENCE IS DETECTED, THE LED WILL BLINK ONLY WHEN YOU ARE BEING TARGETED.

SO, WHAT HAPPENS IN THE "OFF" MODE ??? (DURING NORMAL DRIVING MY LED STATUS IS "CONSTANT", AND ALP IS IN PDC & LID MODE).

Thank you in advance for any further input regarding my last question above.

Pro Mode is more for advanced users and Pro Mode was really a fearure made for testing the ALP and it allows you to see exactly when you are being targeted and the sound also changes to almost noise like sound so you can hear the strenght and weakness of the incoming signal.

With Pro Mode off when hit the system will give you a full alert and the alerts and led will go off after around 2 seconds after it stops or until you kill it.

    Tom/BRD,

OK, Thanks again. I now fully understand the Pro Mode function selections, and their visual and audible results. I appreciate your help.

Thanks for the Pro Mode description. I had the exact same question myself. Powered my unit up today and did the upgrade. Now I need to go back and disable Pro Mode after reading this description.
