I often drive in Mass and CT where there seems to be plenty of laser.

You can say that again !
I got hit runnin' hot w/ an LR B recently,couple weeks before that was a TSS on I-290 near Worcester.
If you need testing I have a few Lidars you can run against if you're interested.
