One issue that I'm going to have is my installer glued the control unit of my ALP to the dash. I'm probably going to have to figure out some way of tearing the old control unit off to get the new control unit on. I'm not even sure what type of glue they used.

Use fishing line, dental floss or similar to get behind it and separate it from the dash. Then goof off or alcohol to prep for new install.
    Sorry for thread derail, hth.

And a hairdryer will help or a heat gun to soften the glue

What works really good is braided fishing line, If you do not have any go to a local fishing store ( NOT walmart) and ask them if you can have like 3 feet of 40-60 lbs braided line..... What i do is loop 1 end and use a pen to pull the line to cut thru the tape or glue.
If you do this, When pulling on the braid, make sure that when you are pulling on the side with the loop that your pulling up and away from what ever the C/P is attached to, so you dont scratch the area of the car where it is glued to.
If It is in deed glue.... Then i would use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and go a little at a time working that braid thru it....
When you get to doing this and if you are having problems just P/M me and maybe i can help walking you thru doing it.. Just take your time

I would assume sometime in January or February. We have been working with AL for a long time on getting the HiFi module done and we worked out the special initial upgrade order several months ago to make sure our early adopters would be taken care of first. There is nothing worse than being an early adopter and feeling that you got screwed because you invested in a product early. I wanted to make sure that did not happen to our early ALP customers.

Might be silly question but, Will the controller still have the "Beeps" or just the speaker sound?

The beeps can be heard very well even over loud music and is a very distinct tone, just wondering about volume and speaker placement options to make sure I can hear it.
Go Like Hell, you'll get there.
