Hi JD from Chicago, IL
I am very glad I stumbled upon this forum as I recently purchased a Blinder HP-905 but after reading everything here so far I will be returning it just in time and getting the AL. Currently I am using a Passport Max for radar detection but will hopefully be installing the Escort 9500ci in my vehicle soon. It was originally installed in my 2000 Honda Prelude but I have since purchased a new vehicle a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Since it had the ZR4 laser shifters which were outdated and the Lasershifter Pro, escorts newer version, showed to be nearly useless in testing I decided to scrap the laser portion of the 9500ci and go with something that will actually work and just keep the 9500ci as a radar detecting unit. Being as I live in a high rise building and they frown upon doing anything other than getting in and out of your car it tends to take a while before i find some space and time to do any installs, mods, or upgrades to my vehicles. If anyone else is from the area and has space, knows of a place, or can even rent out their garage it would be greatly appreciated as anyone renting out garages heads for the hills as soon as they find out I'm doing any kind of work to the vehicle. Thanks, hopefully I will be able to contribute to community in some way down the road.

Welcome, If you going with the ALP, you will be better of with an Belmont STR+ remote radar unit or you could add just the STR+ ant to the ALP setup.
