    New guy from Ohio

Hey guys, I have been using radar detectors for a while now, current one is an Escort 9500ix, and I just picked up an AL Priority after getting way too many laser tickets and thought this forum would be full of info so here I am. I have the ALP all setup and ready to go, haven't been hit with laser yet since I installed it though so I was wondering, if anyone in the NE Ohio area has access to laser guns, would you mind helping me test my system out?

Welcome from the Northeast. ALP's are the best available, but yes, you need to get them (your install) tested. Post up some pics (obscure your license plate) and you can get some good placement advice

Here is where I have them now per NYSpeederPVM's advice, I plan to mount them IN the grill in the spring when the weather warms back up by cutting out a small section of the honeycomb out so just the head sticks through.

That would be a great idea. Not very sexy the way they look at the moment.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Yeahhhh, we just got like 6" of snow the past couple days and the temps dropped to around 20* so this will do for now haha. The bumper comes off fairly easy but I wanted the protection now rather than later.

Also, thanks for the quick shipment on my order! One thing I found though was the instructions say the sensors come with heat shrink tubing to waterproof the connectors, which my boxes did not have. Any way I could get a couple of those sent to me? I just super wrapped them in electrical tape for now.

Instructions were from the old sensors where we used din connectors which are no longer used. The new connectors are completely water & moisture proof and shrink tubing is no longer needed.
