    Force Manual Xmit?

I'm doing some setup, and wondering if there is a way to force the ALP to transmit in protection mode without an external stimulus (e.g., without a legitimate LIDAR source). My PL2 is 200 miles away in self storage, and I'd really like to "see" the IR transmitted through a couple of different media that I'm thinking of using as a disguise.

Absent a manual option, is there a transmit sequence as part of start-up while the heads are being registered/checked?

    Thanks for any help!

No. You will need a laser tester or a real laser gun to get the ALP to fire.

Some ppl have reported using a TV Remote Control at close range to Sensor to make them fire.I've never tried it myself.
***Remember - NEVER look anywhere near the Sensor when it is firing,it can be dangerous to your eyesight.

I could get my LI's to alert to 'unknown gun' using a Samsung TV remote. You have to try all the buttons though, as I found only one or two buttons on the remote would trigger it. Unknown gun had to be enabled in LI communicator though, as it was probably an unknown pulse rate from the remote.

Right , though the Al is much more discriminatory , not even my Oprey can trigger it.

No TV remote will set off the ALP.

My ALP's will cause a very brief laser alert on a RD when ALP's are first turned on if RD catches a reflection of the sensors. I set a big mirror in front of the car, turned on ALP, had an X50 Black already turned on (over 20 seconds to allow for startup) in car and got laser alert for about 2 seconds.

I'll take a look tonight. Worth a try...

Two things, a lightly tinted motorcycle windscreen and a modified brake light - sanded down the diffusion on the inside, but it isn't optically correct.
