Well if you can't get a PT at close Range you certainly aren't going to get it at greater distances. But that's just my experience.
    I use: Max with super DNA! 9500CI/ZR4 - LI Dual - RedLine - LIVE - V1 3.872/.893 {1,7,b,E,F,G (l/L)} zr4. I have used: 9500I Blue=x1 upgraded to ix. - 9500I Red=x2 - 8500 x1, 8500X50 Black, SmartRadar, PRO300, old Bel 9??, K40.

Although that is most of our experience it isn't necessarily true. Most of the testing that has been done, has been on relatively short courses (under 2000 feet). At these distances punch throughs have occurred primarily due to the shooter being outside of the jammer beam or due to the jammer not seeing the LIDAR. Other punch throughs have been due to poor algorithms of various firmwares on various jammers.

As demonstrated by previous RALETC testing performed by RedRocket, some jammer manufacturers use poor quality laser diodes that have voids in their beam. As the distance from the jammer head to the shooter increases the size of the void(s) increase which raises the possibility of a PT at longer distances, due to the shooter being in one such void.

Additionally, as the distance increases from jammer to LIDAR, the jammer beam becomes more diffuse due to its very wide divergence, especially when compared to the much more focused beam of the LIDAR gun. At a point the LIDAR gun may interpret the jammers signal as IR noise and not as return signal.

CJR and others, if you wish to continue this discussion please open a new thread and I will move these posts there.

Please add me to the list. Although I won't participate in the 'testing' itself, I'll be with the shooters and test recorders to lend a hand. Thank you.

I have a Wound Warrior ride on Saturday. If I spend the night I can stop thru on the way home. Same spot? No CM's on my ZX-12, but if VeilGuy brings some special stuff we can test it.
