    To the top left and top right next to the plate would work well.

    That would be the optimal location on that vehicle. You dont want to mount them too low because if you come over a hill they can nail you before your sensors are even in view.

    Would I be able to sit them under the number plate behind the grill/mesh or do they need to be forward of it to prevent any signal blocking ?

    The lower you go the the performance degrades. It would perform much better to the sides of the top of the plate.

    Absolutely NOT !
    You will severely handicap their performance on both receiving & transmitting.The Sensors MUST have an unobstructed view of the road ahead.
