    Would I be able to sit them under the number plate behind the grill/mesh or do they need to be forward of it to prevent any signal blocking ?

    The lower you go the the performance degrades. It would perform much better to the sides of the top of the plate.

    Absolutely NOT !
    You will severely handicap their performance on both receiving & transmitting.The Sensors MUST have an unobstructed view of the road ahead.
