ALP Connect in Android rear view mirror

I'm ready to buy a new mirror for my car.

I found this mirror on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Inch-Andro...ec25aa&vxp=mtr and it has a bluetooth function but no data in the specs.

The question is if i put a bt data app can it works with ALP Connect app?

Not until the ALP android app is released, assuming the rvm works as advertised.

I'd be skeptical about the quality of this unit;

1. From China
2. No specs on resolution, processor, bluetooth protocol, android version etc...
3. You generally get what you pay for

But I'd read your detailed review if you buy one

It certainly looks interesting but I tend to agree with FJR. One of the best things about Android is the embedded system capability unlike Apple who controls all of their hardware. At least with Android you will see more of these types of devices in the future and the quality will only get better. It's certainly tempting and I too would be interested in it if the quality was right. I know it's eBay but see if the vendor has a store front with a return policy.
