my biggest concern is how narrow and strong the beam is. I also walk it from one end of my headlight to the other to ensure the whole front end is protected. I dont get the greatest results from standing on my porch and shooting down simulating overpass shots.

    LEOOOO's come out to plaaaaaaayyyyy.

I have not measured it, But i can tell you using the tester on the LI and The ALP, Alps will alert way way out compared to LI, also ALP, I didnt have to work as hard to get them to go off like i did with LI

I assume the spread is pretty wide , i will try to find a lens to concentrate the ray.
The tester is made to use close , i thought 20' would be the maximum ...that is why i am
    amazed with 60'

I wonder if this laser diode could be retrofit in the tester , and give some increased distance ?

I guess I wasn't the only one I had to do the same with my lsp. It did let me know that my heads needed to be more leveled to properly "shift."

I'm pretty sure the testers use a LED not a laser diode, but regardless they could be retrofitted. It may require a separate driver circuit to handle the higher power laser.
