Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.
I am not sure if you have an exact date, but this HFP would be awesome for my 800 mile trip home June 16th any chance it will be before that?
Here is the link with the manual switch if you want to install both and switch back and forth:

If using Bluetooth you just need to press the Vehicle on the ALP Screen to instantly Kill jamming or wait for the LID time setting. With the Control Module you can press any button during an alert to immediately Kill jamming or wait for your LID setting to automatically kill.

Detailed Gun support also improved on latest version of ALP Connect. Just tested a few guns and the ID's are more detailed.

Appears to be in the store today. Long story short is that HFP profile doesn't seem as useful as I expected.
Thoughts/feedback:
* On my 2014 Audi A6 with nav, HFP setup does take a while, maybe about 3 seconds for the first time, 1 second or so on subsequent times. But that's a really long time to wait when talking about reacting to a JTK.
* After an alert, I've tried waiting 20 to 30 seconds for the connection to teardown, and it doesn't seem to happen. I have to "end the call" to myself to go back to the radio.
* When I am not paired to the car, the HFP option sends alerts to the phone speaker (not the speakerphone, but the earpiece). This is really faint and I can't hear it over my radio.
I'd really wish that HFP is adaptive (e.g. speaker if available, HFP otherwise), or simultaneous speaker + HFP, or first alert over speaker, then voice over HFP. I want the lowest reaction time possible for the initial alert. I don't mind waiting a few seconds to hear the gun name.
Some other things not relating to this particular release that have been on my mind:
* Be able to configure open-the-app-to-JTK. Right now if the app's in the background, it takes two taps to JTK. One to bring the app up, another to tap the car. I would personally prefer tapping on an alert to JTK.
* Be able to adjust more settings from the app. Particularly normal-dim-dark modes and JTK time would be great if they can be configured over BT.
All in all though, a good update. I like the more readable gun ID UI. But for now I still prefer speakerphone operation.
HFP works in my 2014 gmc sierra as it should after around 8 seconds it goes back to playing music. I also have not noticed a delay, it's pretty instant. I guess this feature will be hit or miss as Jdong isn't having the same results. In any case always nice to have the option rather then not.
Yeah, as I mentioned before, it's often the car's fault. But the blame game doesn't help — the customer gets burned in either case. People generally don't test drive $70,000 cars by sitting there and seeing how fast a phone call patches through. Maybe they should….
It's a YMMV situation, but Waze and Google Maps are similarly affected when they try to use HFP.
