    ALP Connect V1.4 & V1.5

AntiLaser has taken several recommendations and has made a few changes to ALP Connect.

The biggest addition was the HFP (Hands Free Protocol) which will enable the ALP Alerts to seamlessly integrate with most vehicles though the vehicles HFP protocol allowing your vehicles stereo to automatically switch to the ALP alerts. Once done your vehicle should go back to the source you were listening to without needing to do anything. (This will be a work in progress because all vehicles have different systems so it might work great in one vehicle and another might not like it) Time will tell what the best method will be but we are adding all available options.

I can only see this being a great feature for those using Laser Defense only. My initial impression since I see so much Radar daily and I use the ALP Radar Integration that I would not use this option because I see so much radar local I would not get a full song in without it switching over but for Laser Only it would be awesome to make sure you do not miss an alert if you are cranking up the volume.

Also many have asked that for the Radar Frequencies & Laser Gun identification be larger and easier to read so that was also changed:

Previous versions when pressing the Mute or JTK the system would stay in Mute until you pressed the button again. This was corrected and Mute is only a Temporary mute until the alert stops and they mute will automatically shut off.

Also added a new Demo Mode so users can get familiar with the current sounds of the different alerts and there were some very minor bug fixes. It should be coming out shortly.

I'm still not an ALP user. And I'm wondering: how to stop the jamming from the Android app? Is it easy? Just by touching the screen?

It's an important question because when you meet a radar, you break as you can, and in the same time, you manage the jammer, it's not an easy job.

I think you can still press one of the buttons of the control module ....but as i write this ...i am not so sure...
If i remember well it is exclusive : it is either the control module or the cell application ...?

It's mutually exclusive. They both go to the C port. The Bluetooth module has no buttons -- which is a shame, that would have been best of both worlds.

Some people have noted that you can use a "dumb" Ethernet switch to choose between the two on the fly.

Here is the link with the manual switch if you want to install both and switch back and forth:

If using Bluetooth you just need to press the Vehicle on the ALP Screen to instantly Kill jamming or wait for the LID time setting. With the Control Module you can press any button during an alert to immediately Kill jamming or wait for your LID setting to automatically kill.
