New member here from Alaska, i have been out of the hobby now for a couple years. I was a member at another forum but seems no one uses that site much anymore more and so after web searching i joined here and the RDF. I have always had some kind of RD and started getting more advanced with it a couple years back with the install of an STIR+ and LI system in my old Mustang. I also use a STI Magnum in my truck and like it a bunch other than it not having BS or GPS, I guess the plus has me spoiled on the features the Magnum dosent have. The lock out gps makes it so good for not falsing the Magnum sometimes drives me nuts
I was gone for a while as i sold my fast car (after removing my CM'S) to order up my new car and the first summer with the new car i didnt have time to do a quality install so went naked for a while. I finally commited to installing my STIR/LI on the new car and catching up with the hobby. Here are a few pics of my new install on my 13' GT500.
Display in mirror, auto dimming function intact. My windows are tinted at 20% and with the auto dimming function don't think anyone will notice the display.
Controls in an easy to reach place for me, my last install i hated having to look down at the controls and like this much better.
LED Warning
LI Switch below and right of the steering column, easy to reach for JTK and can still see the green light kinda.
Heads in both upper and lower grills, Radar receiver in upper passenger side inset some but no obstructions in front of it.
The car
I run the Magnum in this truck but might trade in for a Max or Redline
