Yea the ALP connect with bluetooth and Iphone app--OMG does it make it easy to do everything. Plus guns announced and the car turning Blue lol--knowing you are protected. I like that you can downlosd your set up to USB and look at everything to make sure its correct. Im wondering if you had the BT and APP if D/L the file would have told you your one ALP sensor was not showing up?

How many contacts does the plug have? From what I've seen, they appear to be the same connector type as the LI, right, meaning it's an RJ11 6P6C (6-pin), also known as RJ25.

I don't think it's an RJ45 since it looks like the control set uses that and it's bigger than the head plugs if you look at the CPU.

Crimping tools and plugs are available at Home Depot. They're handy to have, especially for us countermeasure geeks, not only for fixing jammer head cables but for V1/Escort power plugs which are RJ11 as well. Not to mention if you have landline phones or networked computers it's handy for fixing those cables as well.

I have noticed that sometimes when I start my vehicle the unit will have lots of loud alerts one after the other and it is red then other times when I start the car it doesn't do that it only gives A couple alerts then in a few seconds it goes over to blue indicating defense mode my question is what do the loud alerts one after the other and the red color mean

Count the red flashes and beeps and it will tell you what its alerting to. I would bet you its alerting to the bad cable you have and telling you there is an issue with you sensors. If both heads power on fine it will start fine with the morse code "A L" alert. If it detects the head and cable issue it will beep an error code for a sensor error. The guide to the error codes is towards the back of the manual.

How does this work with the ALP connect if a sensor or CPU issue arises?
