VERY IMPORTANT - Preparation for 4/8 ALP Firmware

There might need to be some preparation for the next firmware update. This next update is extremely complicated because of the nature of these VPS guns. If you have not registered your system even if you purchased it in September you really need to register your purchase:

Here is the Registration Link: http://www.alpriority.com/contact/#registration

You need to Register your CPU & Sensor Serial Numbers - The Serial Numbers are on the boxes and if you lost or threw the boxes out the serial numbers are on the bottom of CPU and for the sensors the serial number is on the cord next to the din connector. If you cant get to them you can contact me if you purchased through us and we will have a record of them.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Done, thanks for the reminder. Should there be any confirmation that the registration is complete (such as an email)?

The page should give you a screen notification but you will not receive an email notification.

You can also learn your SN by doing "Save to USB" or ServiceCode 2-2-2, and then opening your file on the alpupdate.com.

Uh-oh. I installed my ALP and I didn't even realize that the sensors have SNs. I'm not sure I can even see them. I did register my main unit's SN though, but I just entered "1" in the "triple" box because I didn't read the page carefully, and thought it was just asking HOW MANY sensors I had.

I think the more difficult task is gathering the serial number of the sensors which is not recorded in the setup file and since the serial numbers are on the cables by the Din connections they might not be reachable in many installs.

No,AL Priority is sold as a Parking Device full time.If the owner choses to "upgrade" it he has that option available to alter its performance.

Can we put the 2 downloaded files at the same time on the Usb key , then proceed to the control box .

Or is it advised to do them separately , one at a time , U2793XXX.bin first ,
then clean the usb key , insert the UCSET.bin on the key and proceed ?

    Thanks.
