...Laser will scream at you and Radar on the other hand will ramp up very nicely going from slow beeps to faster to really fast and almost a solid tone when right on top of the source....

What if you're hit with point blank instant-on so there's no ramp up? Will that be easy to distinguish from a laser hit?

Sample MP3s of the different tones would be nice so one can get familiar with what the different sounds mean. There's no doubt more sounds than a typical RD, especially if different lidar guns trigger different tones.
