    ALP Sounds

Saw a post on another forum from a new ALP user.

Looks like he has the Stir + integration.

He doesn't have bluetooth yet, and is concerned about the different sounds. Not sure about Ka band, as he hasn't heard it yet. Thinks he knows K band based on an encounter, and has seperated 2 seperate laser sounds for 5 different guns.

He was asking if there is posted somewhere, a breakdown of the different sounds. Might be a good idea to post somewhere if it has not yet been done.

We can work on getting something put together but Radar & Laser Alerts are pretty obvious since Laser will scream at you and Radar on the other hand will ramp up very nicely going from slow beeps to faster to really fast and almost a solid tone when right on top of the source. Shame the other forum refuses to Allow the AntiLaser Distributor to answer questions on the site but that is their own doing. Hopefully the member will find his way here or even contact us directly and we will have answers for him.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

What if you're hit with point blank instant-on so there's no ramp up? Will that be easy to distinguish from a laser hit?

Sample MP3s of the different tones would be nice so one can get familiar with what the different sounds mean. There's no doubt more sounds than a typical RD, especially if different lidar guns trigger different tones.

Since we have no access to that other forum we cant answer that member but if someone wants to share this KA Alert with them go for it. Below is a regular KA alert for users with the standard ALP w/No Bluetooth & No HiFi Module:

Here are the basic sounds of the ALP if not using ALP Connect.

    Hello

The biggest mistake in my opinion was to change the original sound from ALG9 when detecting Lidar.

This sound should be restored for hand held lidar. Please Antilaser do it for old users and also for this that want to use it with STi-R+ connection. It can't be missed with any other sound . . . . I hope you understand me and will change it, at least for EU firmware.
