Newbie with a Brand New AlPriority : Advice Do & Dont

So my Li dual will have a new companion for sometime.
The front Li will stay in place in reception mode only ,
till i decide to remove it for good.

I dont have yet the Priority ...few days more.

Which are the best advices you can give me ,
i like to tweak things to my taste , tough
expience taught me to go Slow ...if a system works
well at arrival : dont tweak too much ...i learnt the hard way.

Thanks to help me stay out of useless stress

I think given where you live, Privacy mode will be a must in case you get pulled over.

I saw the topic without really going deep in the matter.
Would you give me an overview or link how to achieve it .

I know that if you loose the lock file = you break the unit !

I just followed the instructional video link above and followed what the woman in the video did to activate privacy mode. Make sure to use the USB cable extender so you can keep the USB drive within arms reach to pull out if you get pulled over. Back up the .key file to multiple computers and another USB drive just in case you lose the original USB drive with the privacy key file on it. Once it's lost, the system will not jam anything and it's non-reversible, meaning, you'll have to buy a new CPU or whole new unit, which you don't want to do.

I think i dont have the Usb cable extender in my deal , if i understand well it serves
to place the white box beyond plainview.
Unless i place the box close to my reach , like on the side of the seat at hip height ...right ?

The cable extender comes standard. You can hide the CPU completely and plug the extender in to the CPU and run the cable close to the steering wheel or anywhere else it will reach. The USB feature is way better than the LI setup.

X2, dude. I HATED having to open up my kick panel every time I needed to perform an update on the LI. This is WAAAAAY better!
