In Q4 there will be a revised BT module which will have a controller bypass so you can automatically switch between both. This will not be a free update and will require a new purchase.

I am almost certain this was requested but I can't seem to find it.... the ability to change directional alerts using the hi-fi module (front ports alert rear instead of front)? Purchasing a second CPU and this would be an awesome feature

We have reverse HiFi files available if needed.

Now that I actually own an ALP (still in the process of installing in my car), I guess I can officially offer my suggestions.

Here's some I made a year or two ago, obviously before I owned one. Let's see how they're doing.

We have the menu button quick press to flip to parking-only mode now. An option to flip to receive-only mode would be nice to have.

    * Positive confirmation that JTK occurred, either manually or automatically, via a beep tone or audio confirmation in the smartphone app (or both, since not everyone will use the app). HiFi control immediately announces "Interference Detection Only" when JTKing either via control set or timeout. Maybe an option to play a shorter announcement or a simple audio feedback instead of the longish message it plays now.

    * Ability to clear stored gun statistics after downloading them. Still waiting for this.

    * Add chronological logging of lidar gun hits instead of just a total count. With a GPS module attached, timestamps and locations could be included. I know ALP Connect does this but this is for those who don't use/have a smartphone or the BT module. Would be nice if the hardware can support it (enough EEPROM space in the CPU for this?)

    * Create a splitter/hub to allow connecting more than one device to the control port (i.e. regular control set and bluetooth module) and have them usable simultaneously. New BT module will do this.
Here's some new or rehashed ones:

    1. A longer cable on the (HiFi) control set would be nice. Mine barely reaches from the CPU to where I have my control set.

    2. Give the statistics file a different name than setup.alp, so it doesn't overwrite a setup file already on the USB drive.

    3. Make it possible to deactivate privacy mode (require the key to be present to do this for security).

    4. In addition to "force parking only" as an option for menu button quick press, offer "force DLI" as well. Or rotate through the 3 modes with each press: LID->DLI->PDC->LID...

    On the setup website:

    1. Make it easier to be able to create more than one Setup file without having to create one, download it, go back, upload it again (or re-enter all your settings), make changes, download it again, etc. Have the "Save & Download" button download without going to a new page, then you can download, change settings, download another, etc. Handy if you want to create multiple USB setup files (one for PDC, one for LID, one unlimited, etc.) while retaining all other settings.

    2. (Related to #1 above): offer a login option on the setup page, where you create an account and log in, and your preferred settings are saved and restored on the page without having to upload a setup.alp file. (Another option is to store settings in a cookie and reload them next time the page is accessed)

    3. Allow human-readable statistics to be saved, either online or to a file on your PC (as .txt or .csv), to make it easier to compare a prior statistics file to a current one. I suppose copy & paste works, or print to a PDF file, but that's kludgy.

So some of mine which have already been listed (but saying them again is worth mentioning to show the numbers behind any given idea)...

    (1) When ALP does the self-check and finds an error, it would be great if it told us what port "F1/F2/F3/R1/R2" was at fault... instead of having to troubleshoot ourselves. This is especially important for people who have 4-5 heads.

    (2) Have a self-check (if possible) of the radar antenna (akin to a 'service required') to possibly help in identifying when that is going bad

    (3)Absolutely am behind:
-Allowing multiple set-up profiles on ALP connect (stored on in app/on device).
-That way we can (at the touch of a button) change the profiles when we want and be able to see/review them

(3b)Similar to the above, it would be great to be able to setup the ALP right from the ALP Connect. In other words, have all the settings on the app so they can be changed on the fly like we can with radar detectors; Even if after changing files the ALP requires "restarting before changes take effect," like on a computer.

For those without ALP Connect, a nice-to-have would be an option to have more than one setup.alp on a USB that's kept plugged in (i.e. setup1.alp, setup2.alp, etc.) and they can be selected from the menu on the control set or in ALP Connect.

    1. Normally it does if it can determine the issue with a specific sensor it will tell you which head is having the failure.
    2. The Radar Antennas are self contained and we only report the responses from the Radar Detectors themselves. If there is a connection issue or the head stops responding the ALP will already tell you that your "Radar Antenna is Disconnected"
    3. As I mentioned above lots of cool stuff is coming and you will have to stay tuned/
3b. Eventually ALL settings will be done via ALP Connect and Setup Files online can be eliminated. There are only so many projects we can do at once and eventually it will get there.

BRD - are you saying, for 3b, that everyone will have to purchase BT module? How will this affect owners without ALP Connect.
