Requests for Future Improvements with the AL Priority

iPhone Buetooth transceiver can get blocked from time to time, this is out of control of the apps. Solution is to disable/enable the Bluetooth in Settings or just turn the Phone Off and back On.

When it does get blocked it will look like you are in a connection but no data goes in or out.

SO if its disconnected and we dont know about it are we still protected or not??

Ok and if i did have some sort of (alarm) to say that you have been disconnected, then i would have known about my disconnect.. Most would think this would be a stupid thing, but if you where me yesterday and had gotten hit while this situation happened you would have not been a happy customer...
I dont know if im the only one to have this happen to or just the only one to notice it... of course if it was to be incorporated into the App, an option to deactivate it would also be an option for those who may think its not needed. Just my thoughts

I think what AL is saying is that most likely your Bluetooth transceiver in your iPhone crashed leaving the app still connected but no data was passing.

When I get a committed date you know I will pass it along. Protection from new guns has taken over the priority of the HiFi development. Its been under development but when new threats come out, The new threats take the priority from development.

What would have been nice is if i had some kind of alert setting so if either or both systems where NO longer connected i would get a contant alert

Would love that, then I could turn off the blinking LED light. I too have had a BT ALP disconnection and that is why I keep the LED on to ensure me that it is working.

How can you do both? its one or the other thats active! or are u talking about the separate LED you install?

I don't use the control pad. I only use the LED diode and the BT module. They both work together.

In the CPU box of every ALP there is a remote Multicolor LED that most people install in their speedometer area.

It would be great if the cpu defaulted to the control module when not connected with BT...lose BT connection and/or forget to connect and still be protected

Maybe in the future. Originally the Bluetooth was designed for customers that just wanted a wireless install without having to break through the firewall by mounting the CPU & Bluetooth Module in the engine compartment so there was never a need for more than one control device to be connected at a time. As time went on ALP Connect evolved into a much more robust product that serves a different purpose than what was originally planned.
