I keep my Parking detection only velcroed to my gear box and the usb cord Ive tuck on handbrake I had same issue so ,
2nd solution make a Usb cord with a power on switch Its a prick to work with vo I belave the power cable may be black red maybe try cutting a old usb cord and try placing a swutch on it had that idea for ages! Cant do it tried cords are to thin and the switch was 12V i tghink that was the issue a PC shop may help!
