I was able to reinstall my existing config.alp, no need to create a new one, unless you're going to configure from within the Android app, in which case you need to create one using the app.

What I do when there's a firmware update is I copy the firmware file onto the USB I have my config.alp on, that way I just stick it in and it updates the firmware and then installs my profiles, in one step.

Is there a way to download your config before updating? I HATE the fact I need to keep my config sitting somewhere because it always ends up misplaced or deleted and I end up having to remake all my profiles and inevitably forget something.

Run a Write/Save to USB command from BT or HiFi and it will save a copy of your config file and a stats file to an attached USB Drive.

thats sounds right to me! Steady blue she is ready to go.

After any firmware update I always put in a new Config file as well to make sure everything is the way I want it.

when doing the upgrade via BT, does it do both 5.2.7/7.1 assume the last / 7.1 is the controller?

Hy Tom , i am curious why you write the /7.1 , on the site there is mention that the latest voice pack is ''(the latest voice-pack is Gen.7 /2016-03-12) ''.

Am i right to think that is no new voice pack ?

Note : as usual the updating process was a breeze

I believe /7.1 is reference to the PDC (parking distance control) part of the firmware, i.e the out of the box parking sensor firmware
